SUNDERLAND:Sunderland International Airshow will be celebrating its 21st show this year from 10am – 6pm on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July. The two-day event, which attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators to Sunderland’s stunning coastline at Roker and Seaburn, is now the biggest free airshow in Europe.
The award winning spectacle promises to be another fun filled family day, with high-speed jets, precision flying, displays that will take your breath away and a variety of entertainment on the ground, so why not come down and enjoy the free weekend.
The action packed flying programme features front line jets, vintage aircraft, a parachute display team and aerobatic teams. The spectacular Red Arrows will be back again this year at 12noon on both days to give us an amazing display of aerobatics and precision flying.
If that’s not enough, there will be even more entertainment on the ground including The Band of HM Royal Marines (Scotland), Royal Marines Combat Display Team and the 4th Royal Artillery Light Gun Display team in the arena, children’s entertainment, a wide range of exhibitions and promotional displays, plus a number of trade stands.

Flying Display
This year’s thrilling national and international display teams will include:
The Royal Air Forces Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Spitfire, Hurricane, Dakota), Falcons Parachute Display Team, Typhoon, Hawk, Tutor and Kingair.
The Blue Eagles will be returning to this year’s Sunderland International Airshow with the Apache for the first time and the Lynx.
