Fate of Nursing Career in UK!
A snapshot survey conducted by Royal College of Nursing found that 3 out of 4 newly qualified home grown nurses in UK are struggling to find a job as a nurse. Around 15000 newly qualified nurses are now desperately looking for a nursing job.
Most of them are blaiming the NHS who axed the jobs to overcome their £1 billion debt. Dr. Beverly Malone, General Secretary of Royal College of Nursing said “The situation is a disgrace. Around 180,000 nurses are due to retire within the next 10 years. If the new generation nurses are finding it so tough, that the majority are considering changing the careers, then we clearly need an action now. If we don’t, then the long term consequences will be extremely damaging for the patient care.
This also indicates that, there will in need of poaching the nurses again from the overseas in the near future
